NICOLE RICHIE hates driving with dad because he insists on pulling into neighbours’ driveways and critiquing their gardens.

The socialite-turned-designer admits her father Lionel has become a obsessive gardener, but he’s not content with making sure his own bushes are pruned and his grass cut – he has to offer his opinion about the upkeep of other Beverly Hills estates.

And his daughter always squirms when a drive becomes a home and garden tour.

She explains, “What he likes to do is drive 10 miles an hour, by his neighbours’ houses and he’s like, ‘You see those bushes, they need to just (be) clipped… He pulls into people’s driveways.

“I’m like, ‘Dad, please, please we have to leave.’”
